BICSI extends Pearson VUE partnership to include ExamDeveloper™ publishing software

MINNESOTA, MN, Aug.14 – Pearson VUE is pleased to announce that ICT professional body BICSI has begun using ExamDeveloper™, Pearson VUE's industry-leading test development technology, as part of an extension of its agreement with the computer-based testing company.

ExamDeveloper™ is a suite of easy-to-use software tools which allow subject matter experts to collaborate on creating exam content without spending the time travelling to another physical location—which can save time and money. BICSI is planning to use the software for all its future exams, beginning with the Outside Plant (OSP) Design exam, currently in development.

“We chose to take advantage of the ExamDeveloper™ software suite as we renewed our agreement with Pearson VUE because it offers us a robust feature set and the convenience of being able to author content remotely,” said BICSI president Brian Ensign, RCDD, NTS, RTPM, CSI. “It allows us to streamline the whole process of creating exam content more efficiently and produce valid, fair and reliable exams for our credential holders.”

Bob Whelan, president of Pearson Assessments, said: “Our renewed partnership with BICSI will allow greater access to high quality assessment for candidates via our global network of conveniently located test centers, and the ExamDeveloper™ tools will allow the continued efficient development of quality assessments to the highest global industry standards.”
